My lectures at the Universities
My work as a university teacher takes place both in Sweden, at the University of Gothenburg and in Italy, at the University of Pavia.
The Master in Human Nutrition at the University of Pavia (Italy)
In Italy I teach at the master in Human Nutrition organized every year by the University of Pavia, which has the aim of providing expertise in human nutrition to future professionals in this field. There my teaching is focused on the following subjects: the basis of human nutrition (nutrients and antioxidants), the assessment of energy expenditure, nutritional diagnostics and biochemical tests to determine the nutritional status.
At the University of Gothenburg (Sweden)
In Sweden I lecture about the scientific evidence behind official recommendations for a healthy diet in Nordic countries as well as about the international paradox of obesity and malnutrition, two important public health issues which characterize both developed and developing countries. I am also a tutor at the epidemiology course organized by the department of public health and community medicine, where I am employed.
